NetSuite Dunning Module with Configuration Steps

  • By
  • NetSuite’s Dunning Module is a feature that helps businesses manage their customer accounts. It automates the process of sending out reminders to customers who have overdue payments or are in danger of becoming delinquent on their accounts. The module also allows users to define their own dunning rules, customize the look and format of their dunning letters, and track their customer’s payment history. The module also helps to prevent accounts from becoming delinquent by sending out payment reminders before the due date. This feature can be especially useful for businesses that have a large number of customers and need to manage their accounts efficiently.

    Configuration Steps:

    1. Create a Dunning Program: Begin by creating a Dunning Program record in the Setup Menu. This Program defines the parameters of your dunning process, including the type of messages to be sent, the message content, and the schedule for when messages should be sent.

    2. Set up Dunning Rules: Next, create Dunning Rules records in the Setup Menu. These Rules define the criteria used to determine which customers should be included in the dunning process.

    3. Assign Dunning Rules to Customers: Once you have created the Dunning Program and Rules, you can assign them to customers in the Customer Setup Menu. This allows you to apply the Dunning Program and Rules to specific customers.

    4. Set Up Dunning Message Templates: In the Setup Menu, you can create Dunning Message Templates that will be used to generate the dunning messages sent to customers. 5. Schedule Dunning Messages: Finally, you can create Dunning Schedules in the Setup Menu. These Schedules determine when dunning messages should be sent.

Once the Dunning Program and Rules have been configured, you can begin sending dunning messages to customers. The messages will be sent according to the Schedules that have been created, allowing you to automate the dunning process.
